NAME: Sarah Wallace

CAREER PROGRESSION: Dr. Sarah Wallace was born and raised in the great state of New Hampshire. Growing up, she was always with her family pets – two German Shepards (Astie and Tank) and a Maine Coon cat (Fluffy). Her first exposure to veterinary medicine was through the television show “Emergency Vets” and her first experience with veterinary medicine was in high school when she volunteered at her local animal hospital. From 2006 to 2010, Dr Wallace attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA to attain her B.S. Degree in Biology and all the while continued working at local animal hospitals and volunteering at the local shelter. It was in college that Dr Wallace made her official decision to attend veterinary school. In May of 2015, Dr Wallace graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, CA. Dr Wallace will be doing an internship at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in the last half of 2015 and first half of 2016 and then she hopes to get further training in Clinical Nutrition.
INSPIRATION(S): The main tenants of the Just Food for Dogs company, Truth, Honesty, Reason and Fact first drew Dr Wallace to the company. She wanted to become a Whole Food Formulator with Just Food for Dogs because she believes all pets deserve fresh, wholesome, balanced diets that promote health and well-being. With her certification, Dr Wallace will help as many dogs as possible to get healthy, stay healthy and enjoy their lives with their humans.
PET(S): Dr. Wallace shares her home with a very naughty Siamese Flame Point cat named “Sonar” who had her eyes removed as a kitten due to illness and loves to talk her days away. Sonar has her own army of socks that she has stolen from the laundry basket. She thinks they are her babies.
